Billing and Credits

The Billing page shows your credit balance, a usage chart, available plans (or waitlist status), and a full payment history table with downloadable invoices.

Credits, balance card, spend chart, and payment history

Comprehensive overview of the Billing page: the balance card with current credits and a buy shortcut, the monthly spend chart, credit pack purchase (shown only when payments are live), saved payment card, and the full transaction history with all current type labels.

Billing page

Open the Billing page from the dashboard sidebar to see your current credit balance, review past spending, buy more credits, and manage your payment method.

A Contact support button in the top-right corner of the page header links directly to the support form if you need help with any billing issue.

Credits

Handyout uses a credit system. Each credit pays for processing one slide into a handyout module. Credits are consumed when you confirm handyout generation — not when you edit or publish.

Balance card

The balance card on the left side of the page shows:

  • Your current credit balance at a glance.
  • An estimated average credits per generation figure, calculated from your actual history. This helps you judge how far your remaining balance will go.
  • A Buy credits button that smoothly scrolls the page down to the credit purchase section.

Spend chart

The spend chart shows your credit usage month by month, organised into calendar-month buckets. It gives you a visual picture of how your usage trends over time.

While the page loads, a placeholder is shown in place of the chart.

Buying credits

When payments are active on your account, the Credit packs section appears below the chart. It shows:

  • Credits used in the last 30 days — so you can pick a pack that matches your actual rate.
  • Your current balance for reference.
  • Purchasable pack options. Select the one that fits, then complete the checkout.

If payments are not yet active on your account, the credit purchase section is not shown.

Saved payment card

The Payment card panel (when payments are active) shows the card currently saved to your account. You can add, replace, or remove your payment method here.

Billing history

The history table lists every past transaction — credits bought and credits spent. While the page loads, a placeholder skeleton is displayed.

Amount format

The Amount column combines credit movement and dollar charge in one cell:

  • Credit movement — shown as +N credits when credits are added to your balance, or -N credits when deducted.
  • Dollar charge — shown as $X.XX when real money was charged.

When both apply, they are separated by a dot: +50 credits · $9.00. When only a dollar charge applies, only that is shown. When neither applies, the cell shows $0.00.
